Monthly Round-ups of AUK Slack discussions

Round-up for September 2026

After a very productive summer, we are now gearing up for the new academic year!

We had a very successful community session at the National Astronomy Meeting in Birmingham, with many excellent contributions from talks and posters, and a fruitful discussion that sparked several ideas. We coordinated three AGN and one X-ray binary session to avoid talk duplication, and we organised a very enjoyable informal networking event at the local non-profit pub The Good Intent.

We are starting preparation for the long-requested seminar series, which will initially take place once a month, and will hopefully get kickstarted before the end of the year.

The next AUK community meeting will take place at Durham University in December 2026. We hope to see many of you there!
